Project Nursery’s Bright Ideas

Project Nursery

Melisa Fluhr and Pamela Ginocchio founded Project Nursery in the spring of 2008. A bright idea turned into a website dedicated to parents searching for design ideas and projects for their children. ProjectNursery.com presents parents and designers with a unique photo gallery to submit their design projects, as well as do-it-yourself projects, tips, party ideas, design finds, and giveaways.  A team of design experts keeps the site in tiptop shape as a leading resource for parents in search of design ideas.

We are ecstatic to have Project Nursery team up with us to assist us in our dream room makeover Giveaway for a child. Melisa says, “Everyday we strive to create a more natural, eco-friendly world for our children. We think it’s important for others to do the same. This is why we’re thrilled at the opportunity to partner with Natural Child World and help spread the word.”

When it comes to being GREEN, Melisa states, “For us, it’s all about the products we purchase these days starting with the cleaning and laundry products we personally own.” As well as endorsing brands that are organic and natural. For parents striving to live a more eco-conscious lifestyle, Melisa says, “It’s all about research!…”

Our current issues is the Indulgence Issue, and upon asking Melisa to define what indulgence means to her, she stated, “Indulgence is all about taking time to breathe. It’s also about splurging on yourself as a mom, because we believe we deserve it every now and again. But mostly to keep sane!”

When it comes to designing and knowing what is needed for the essentials to a nursery, Melisa is more than happy to offer her advice. She says, “Creating a nursery is all about creating a safe, healthy and beautiful environment for your child. A crib, dresser, changing topper and comfy chair are truly the essentials. However, we love to tell parents to inject a bit of their own personality into the room’s theme or color while they can. Kids grow up fast and they will have their own decorating opinions in no time!”

Melisa says her inspiration “comes from the strong community of parents and designers that share their own projects on projectnursery.com. They are a constant source of new and fresh ideas for the world of nursery design and party planning.”
